An 100% cotton mid-19th Century chemise.  This chemise was copied directed from an original, even signed with the ladies name.  It is period correct down to the underarm and side hem seam gussets.  This style of chemise is correct from the 1830's through the 1870's.  Each chemise is machine and hand stitched.  The lace trim around the sleeves and neck has been hand sewn on and the design may vary (also may be cotton or a rayon/cotton blend).  We couldn't find anyone who was making a correct chemise so we manufacture them ourselves.  This chemise is exactly what you need to wear under your corset.   This style is correct for Gold Rush, Civil War, and into the bustle periods.
